Dear all user/ previous customer,
We are currently in the midst of clearing our laboratory. We found out that there are user/customer’s sample that has been left at our laboratory since our first year of operation.
Attached is the photos of the samples. If your sample is in the list, please kindly collect your sample latest by 19th July 2019.
Samples that has not been collected by the date will be disposed.
Thank you

Advanced microscopy is one of the most essential techniques in micro/nano-characterization to extract important information on the specimens. Efficient uses of advanced microscopy equipment require not only skills in equipment operation but also sufficient knowledge on the mechanism of image-formation in micrographs as well as good experiences of practical application of analysis to research. MJIIT Microscopy Lab Workshop Series aims to assist researchers and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge in order to encourage efficient uses of microscopy equipment and advance nano-characterization in Malaysia.
Following the successfulness of our Workshop Series 1-3, we are glad to inform that we will organize another one, which is MJIIT Microscopy Laboratory Workshop Series 4 in cooperation with JEOL (M) SDN BHD. We are focusing on the fundamental knowledge and basic operation of FESEM – EDS as well as specimen preparation. We are pleased to welcome young engineers and researchers of all related industries and universities to join the MJIIT Microscopy Lab Workshop Series-4.

Due to the successfulness of our Workshop Series 1, we are glad to inform that we will organize a new Workshop Series, which is MJIIT Microscopy Laboratory Workshop Series 2 and MJIIT Microscopy Laboratory Workshop Series 3. For this time, we are focusing on the operation of FESEM (EBSD) and Intermediate level of STEM. We are pleased to welcoming all related industries and researchers to join our MJIIT Microscopy Lab Workshop Series.
We are pleased to welcoming all related reseracher to participate in a MJIIT Microscopy Lab Workshop Series 2 & 3 to be held on 22nd – 29th March 2018 at Microscopy Laboratory, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Campus.
The main topics covered in these course are:
Workshop Series 2:
1) Application of channeling contrast to dislocations in materials
2) STEM technique for observation of dark field images
3) Application of STEM to characterization of materials.
Workshop Series 3:
1) Fundamentals of EBSD

About Our Workshop:
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Advanced microscopy of FETEM is an essential technique in micro/nano-characterization to gather information on sample structure, defects, particle size and elemental composition/distribution. Efficient use of advanced microscopy equipment requires operators /researchers to have good knowledge on micro/nano-characterization; and sufficient skills in operation.
The Microscopy Laboratory of MJIIT organizes a series of workshops where a small number of trainees study thoroughly practical knowledge and skills in micro/nano-characterization, starting from Series 1 : FETEM/STEM.
The main topics covered in these course are:
1) Basic theory of FETEM/STEM & Sample Preparation
2) Demonstration on sample preparation using FIB-FESEM (FEI Helios Nanolab G3), and sample imaging using the FETEM (JEOL JEM-2100F)
3) Hands-on practice on using FETEM/STEM
HURRY UP!! SEAT IS LIMITED TO 8 PARTICIPANTS ONLY!!
Should you require further information about the workshop, please feel free to contact us via email:microscopy.mjiit@utm.my or call us at +603-2203 1527
We look forward for your participation and contribution and we thank you for your continuous support to MJIIT Microscopy Laboratory.
