TriPreM Iftar.
Delicious food in Malaysia. Satay is a Malaysian-style yakitori (Japanese food) served with lots of peanut sauce. Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset during Ramadan (9th month of Ramadan). Fasting is said to rob the mind and body to endure desires and to show compassion to those in difficult situations.
After fasting we eat the meal called Iftar. Iftar is an Arabic word, if you speak English, it becomes breakfast or meal after your fast. There is a habit of family and friends coming together to eat, and today we celebrated Iftar at TriPreM. Since everyone was bringing food, I asked the member in charge of preparing the food to supply and provide satay.
Master’s boy students brought their puddings and found out that their hobby is making sweets and the condiments brought by students from Pahang are delicious. Ramadan is about 10 days away. When it happens, it will be greatly celebrated. It’s different from the New Year, but the atmosphere is like the Japanese New Year.
