Ummi Kalthum binti Shuib is an accomplished public sector leader with over 28 years of experience in finance, governance, and strategic management, including 26 years serving in state and federal government agencies . She currently holds the position of Director of Finance at the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp), where she manages substantial national funds and plays a key role in shaping financial policies and systems.
She began her impactful career at the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP), where she led major reforms in revenue management, introducing innovative systems such as integrated billing, online payment platforms, and multi-service counters. Her initiatives significantly improved efficiency and were later benchmarked by other local authorities across Malaysia.
At SWCorp, she has been instrumental in developing policies, operational frameworks, and nationwide systems for solid waste management, contributing to the agency’s recognition as a pioneering federal body. Beyond her financial expertise, Ummi is deeply committed to sustainability and community engagement, actively promoting recycling and waste reduction initiatives through campaigns, public appearances, and educational programs.
Her strong leadership, innovation-driven mindset, and dedication to public service continue to drive impactful change at both national and community levels.

prof. Dr. Ibrahim Helal
Amorites Professor of Electrical Power Systems, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Helal is an Amorites Professor of Electrical Power Systems, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He got his Ph.D. from University of New Brunswick, Canada, 1995, He is Chairman of IEEE-PES Chapter, Egypt and Board Member of Cairo Electricity Production Co (Egyptian Electricity Holding Company EEHC) Dr. Helal is an Author and co-author of more than 50 papers in reputed journals and conferences as well as supervised and referred several Ph.D., Master thesis, and professorship promotion in power systems. Dr. Helal is Designer and Supervised the constriction of electrical networks for several national projects in Egypt, such as – Reclamation of 375 thousand agricultural acres in South Valley, Egypt – Nasser Institute Medical City and more than another 30 hospitals ,17 thousand acres fish farm in East Port Said – Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and other national projects. Dr. Helal is a member of the Consultancy Supreme Council of the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate as well as a member of Arab Authority for Engineering and Technological Accreditation – Arab-Engineering Union. Dr.Helal received appreciation certificates from several authorities in Egypt for his contribution to solve electrical problems they suffered from such as ; Governor of Cairo Governorate – Ain Shams University President – Bibliotheca Alexandrina director and other distinguished authorities.

Dr. Rania Hussein
Professor / Founder and Director of the Remote Hub Lab (RHLab)
University of Washington

Dr. Rania Hussein is a Teaching Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington and the Founder and Director of the Remote Hub Lab (RHLab). Her work focuses on advancing engineering education through scalable technologies, including remote laboratories and digital twinning, to support authentic engineering workflows across institutions and geographic regions.

She leads NSF-funded research on distributed learning infrastructures that expand access to hands-on engineering experiences. Her work emphasizes international collaboration, enabling cross-institutional partnerships that connect students, faculty, and research platforms across diverse educational contexts.

Dr. Hussein is a Senior Member of IEEE and a recipient of the IEEE Region 6 Outstanding Engineering Educator Award and the ECEDHA (Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association) Innovative Program Award, which recognizes impactful initiatives that advance engineering education.

Prof. Dr. rer. Nat. Hesham A. El Enshasy

Prof. El Enshasy is the current Director Innovation Center in Agritechnology for Advanced Bioprocessing (ICA), and professor in bioprocess engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Since 2020, recognized as one of the top 2% researchers in the world in the field of Biotechnology, Energy, and Enabling technologies, according Stanford University research study for both career and single year. Prof. El Enshasy is also the current ambassador for World Bioeconomy Association (WBA) for Malaysia and Indonesia. He is also Visiting/adjunct Professor in Shizuoka University, Japan (2015-2027), and Adjunct Professor to Universitas Negeri Jakarta (2023-2028), Adjunct Professor to Sohar University, Oman (2026-2028). He is serving also as board member and biotechnology consultant for strategic planning, bioproduct development, facility design, the 3 Ts (technology-transfer, -implementation, and development). He also supports in the development of intellectual capital and business sustainability following ESG strategic planning. For many local and international companies and agencies.

Before joining UTM in 2008, he was the assistant director of City for Scientific Research for Research Institutes Affairs (Alexandria, Egypt), had B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology (Ain Shams University, Egypt), Dr. rer. Nat. in Industrial Biotechnology (TU Braunschweig, Germany 1998), M.Sc. Technology Management (UTM, Malaysia, 2012) and did two post-doc. for bioprocess optimization of mammalian cell culture in GBF, Germany and The Ohio State University, he was also visiting guest professor and honor guest professor to many world class universities in USA, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria. Prof. El Enshasy has more than 60 industrial projects, 450 Publications in form of (Books, Book Chapters, and peer review articles), in different niche areas of industrial biotechnology. He also serves as Editor and Associate Editor in Many International Journals. He is also the current Editor of book series “Industrial Biotechnology” under CRC Press, USA. He was also Plenary, keynote, and invited speaker in more than 100 international conferences in the field of biotechnology, bio-business and research management.

Prof. El Enshasy has more than 30 years’ experience on hands-on design, operation and troubleshooting for bioreactors from bench scale up to large scale, downstream equipment, bioprocess development, and complete facility design in bioprocessing industries for microbial and non-microbial biofactories. He has received the UTM award for best cooperation with Industry 2018 and 2022 (university level), Best cooperation with Industry in Faculty level 2019-2020 and BioEconomy Malaysia (national level) for two times 2012 and 2017.
