Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aznah Binti Nor Anuar is a senior lecturer at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. She is a graduate of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and received her Master of Engineering (2001) and Doctor of Environmental Engineering (2008) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr. Aznah is a member of several international associations such as of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), International Water Association (IWA), Malaysian Water Association (MWA) and Akademi of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). She is now assigned as deputy secretary of Society of Engineering Education Malaysia (SEEM). Dr Aznah has over 18 years of experience in wastewater treatment. Her main areas of expertise are in water and wastewater engineering; granular activated sludge technology for wastewater treatment; natural and low-cost water supply and treatment system; rainwater harvesting system for agriculture, rainwater harvesting system for domestic use, sand and activated carbon/antrachite charcoal filtration system, ultraviolet filtration system, water supply treatment system and multidisciplinary engineering service learning & community. Dr Aznah is also engaged in the projects funded by AUN/SEED-Net and JICA. She has directly and indirectly contributed to the study of modelling and water quality implications in Mesilau River in Kundasang. In collaboration with AUN/SEED-Net, Dr Aznah as a member of the consortium Collaborative Education Program for Sustainable Environmental Engineering Network (CEP-SEEN) has actively involved with the collaborative ideas and knowledge sharing with university and industry partners such as Nippon Koei Co., Ltd and Indah Water Konsortium (IWK).
