DATE: 26 NOVEMBER 2020<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n TIME: 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n VENUE: VIA VIRTUAL PLATFORM (CISCO WEBEX)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Center (DPPC), Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will be organizing the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Virtual Seminar Series 1 2020 entitled\u00a0“Towards Achieving the Global Agenda of <\/em><\/span>UNDRR Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030<\/span><\/em>“.\u00a0<\/span>Theme of this event is “Rejuvenating DRR Resilience Strategies and Accelerating the Decade for Action<\/em>“.\u00a0<\/span>This event is jointly organized in conjunction with the 5-years anniversary of our disaster center (DPPC), and the Master of Disaster Risk Management (MDRM) program. DRM Virtual Seminar Series 2020\u00a0aims\u00a0at\u00a0exchanging some best practices, benchmarking cost-effective methods, and exploring strategic solutions for timely,\u00a0rapid response and build-back better and faster. We also address the global demand and local actions as a result of dual challenges of climate-induced disaster risk and COVID-19 pandemic.
