Sediment runoff processes, flood hydraulics and mechanics of sediment transportation will be interactively explored. This course also offers the capacities of exploring hydrological predictions in poorly-gauged basins with the support of rainfall-runoff and flood inundation modelling. A series of site investigation, laboratory tools and advanced processing strategies will be critically discussed for assessing flood risk and advancing forecast system with the support of numerical simulation and modelling. Second part of the course will be dealt with economic evaluation of water resources, flood damage assessment and flood mitigation project option. He is very active both locally and internationally. He was the Chairman of Public Awareness Committee of the Malaysian International Hydrological Program (MIHP) for almost 10 years, council member of Malaysian Water Association (MWA), Secretary of the IWA\u2019s Specialist Group on Appropriate Technologies for Developing Countries and Research Committee member for Malaysian Hydrological Society.
