In the ever-changing landscape of our planet, nature disasters <\/span>have become a recurring global challenge. This continent-to continent <\/span>program explores a new insight into the multi-scale <\/span>disaster risk reduction (DRR) agenda and disaster resilience <\/span>strategies for managing emerging hazards, systemic risk, and <\/span>compound disaster in a climate change. The study visit on the <\/span>disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) for the <\/span>Ministry in Charge of Emergency Management (MINEMA) <\/span>Rwanda and the World Food Programme (WFP) is coorganized <\/span>by the National Disaster Management Agency <\/span>(NADMA), Prime Minister\u2019s Department and Disaster <\/span>Preparedness and Prevention Center (DPPC), Malaysia-Japan <\/span>International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti <\/span>Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur was held in the <\/span>period of 27 August till 03 September 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n This multi-tier program explores design options and <\/span>integration of programme interventions and information <\/span>systems for effective implementation of disaster risk reduction <\/span>and management interventions to reaffirm our commitment to <\/span>the global agenda and rejuvenate our local action as stated in <\/span>the UNDRR, Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction <\/span>2015-2030, Paris Agreement, and 2030 Global Agenda for <\/span>Sustainable Development. This visit is an activity supported <\/span>through a WFP internal Global South-South Cooperation Trust <\/span>Fund.
